Presidents Message
Dear Members and friends of the Indian Association of
Fredrick, Inc. I on behalf of 2008 Executive Committee for
IAF, Inc. would like to thank you all for your trust in us.
Let me assure you that you have chosen a dynamic, vibrant,
fun loving, and can-do committee. This committee has a
combined experience of more than 25 years of service to the
Indian Community of Frederick. Ram Randad our Past
President and I are founding members of the IAF; I have
worked with Ram all of last year as the Vice-President of the
association and we have been involved in the community
service even before this organization was registered as IAF in
1998. Ram Krishna our Vice President and President elect for
2009 has been in the Frederick community for a long time and
is very well known business person in Frederick. Pamela
Munjal, Secretary for 2008, has shown leadership in the past
when she joined the committee last year in the middle of the
year and she has continued to show enthusiasm as she taken
on the responsibility as the Secretary for 2008. Makhan
Matharu, our Joint Secretary for 2008, has been in Frederick
for more than 15 years and is very well known and respected
member of the community. And finally Dr. Sivi Sivakumar, a
well know Pediatric Dentist in Frederick with his own practice
in the area, is going to assist the community as the Treasurer
for the association for 2008.
As other years this year also our objectives will be to meet the
objectives of the members.The number of programs we do will
depend upon how many you want?. What the members expect
is what we plan to deliver. We want each one of you (existing
members, new members teens, boys, girls, husbands, wives,
and all) to come up with the ideas and interests. Communicate
with us and we will communicate with you all. We will make
every effort to serve you; - to work for you and to work with
you. We are at your service and we expect each one of you to
get involved, get excited, get creative, and come together to
do great things.Our organization is a unique, multicultural, and
multi-lingual organization that is bound by a common thread
of community, origin, and culture. The strength of our
organization is in its members, who are dynamic, active, and,
most of all, positive. Make a list today, talk to your son, your
daughter, get involved, be a member, and most of all have fun.
Together we can do great things.The committee is at your
service and we look forward to working for and with you for a
very successful 2008.
